VeoCue

Draft

These terms are a working draft pending legal review. They are written in plain English so you can tell what they mean. Square brackets mark figures and jurisdictions that still have to be settled. Until a lawyer has reviewed them, treat this page as a statement of intent rather than a signed contract.

Terms of service

As of 22 September 2026

1The agreement

This is an agreement between you, or the organisation you act for, and [legal entity name], registered at [registered address]. By creating a workspace or using VeoCue you accept it. If you are accepting on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you may bind it.

2What the service is

VeoCue monitors public sources about companies you choose to track, turns changes into signals with a source and a detection date, and lets your team ask questions about them. Plans, limits and prices are on the pricing page, and the plan you buy sets your limits on tracked competitors and users.

VeoCue is early software and changes often. We may add, change or remove features. If we remove something you rely on, we will tell you before we do it.

3Your account

You are responsible for who you invite and what they do. Keep credentials to yourself, use multi-factor authentication where you can, and tell us at security@veocue.com if you think an account has been compromised.

4Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use VeoCue to break the law, or to infringe anyone’s rights;
  • resell or republish the output as your own monitoring product, or share workspace access with people outside your organisation;
  • attempt to reach another customer’s workspace, or probe our systems beyond reporting a vulnerability in good faith;
  • use the service to target a private individual rather than to follow a company’s public activity;
  • automate the product in a way that materially exceeds your plan, or that degrades it for other customers.

5Sources we monitor

We monitor sources that are publicly available. We do not defeat paywalls or logins, and we do not have access to anything a competitor keeps private. What VeoCue can see is what a careful person with a browser could see, read more often and summarised.

You choose which companies to track. You are responsible for that choice being lawful where you operate.

6Who owns what

You keep everything you put in: your competitor lists, notes, battlecard edits and win-loss records. We keep the software, and nothing here transfers it to you.

We may use anonymous, aggregated operational statistics to improve the product. That means counts and timings, never your competitor lists or your content.

7AI-generated output

Signals, summaries, battlecard text and Ask AI answers are produced with the help of a language model. They can be wrong. This is exactly why every signal carries the source URL and the date it was detected: check the source before you act on anything that matters, particularly in a customer conversation or a public claim.

VeoCue is a research aid. It is not legal, financial or investment advice, and you should not treat it as the sole basis for a decision.

8Payment

Fees are those on the pricing page or in your order form, charged in advance for each billing period and not refundable for a period already started, unless the law says otherwise. [Payment terms, late payment interest and tax handling to be confirmed.]

9Availability, stated honestly

We want VeoCue to be up and we watch it. We do not offer a service level agreement, we do not promise a percentage of uptime, and there is no service credit. Crawling depends on third-party websites, so a source can go quiet for reasons that have nothing to do with us.

We also hold no SOC 2 report and no ISO 27001 certificate. The trust and security page lists what we have and have not done.

10Warranties and liability

The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Neither side is liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits. Our total liability is capped at [cap, for example the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim]. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

11Confidentiality

Each side will keep the other’s confidential information confidential and use it only to perform this agreement. Your competitor list and your workspace content are your confidential information.

12Ending it

You can stop at any time; the plan runs until the end of the period you have paid for. We can suspend or end access if you breach these terms materially and do not fix it within [cure period] of being told.

After the account closes we will delete workspace data in line with the privacy notice. Export what you need before you go.

13Data protection

Where we process personal data on your behalf, the data processing addendum applies and forms part of this agreement.

14Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. For material changes we will email account holders and give [notice period] before they take effect. Continuing to use VeoCue after that means you accept them.

15Law and disputes

This agreement is governed by the laws of [governing law], and the courts of [jurisdiction] have exclusive jurisdiction. Before starting proceedings, please write to support@veocue.com. Most problems are a misunderstanding that one email fixes.
